To podcast a Good Shepherd service from the iRiver T30, you need to install:
An audio sound editor and MP3 encoder, such as Audacity and LAME
For a WMA converter, you can use one of the following programs:
The free media converter MMconvert, which can be downloaded from Sourceforge, or
The free version of the WinAmp media player, which can be downloaded from Winamp. Go to the download directory, download the Full Windows installable package, and follow the directions to install it. Be careful about some of the free addons that can also get installed with the Full package; there is an opportunity during the installation to uncheck those options.
After installing WinAmp, start it up
Click Options g Preferences.
On the left side, select Plug-ins/Output.
Select the Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in and click Configure.
Check the boxes "Output to directory containing source files" and "Display 'save as' dialog for every file".
Now whenever you open a .WMA file, you will be asked to save it as a .WAV file.
For an audio sound editor and MP3 encoder, most of us use the free software Audacity, which can be downloaded from Sourceforge. Go to the download directory, download the Windows installable package, and follow the directions to install it.
If you use Audacity, you will also need an MP3 encoder library called LAME. Download the DLL file lame_enc.dll and install it in the Audacity folder, which you probably installed in c:\Program Files\Audacity. (The source for LAME is freely available from Sourceforge, but you won't need it.) Then start Audacity and register the DLL's presence:
Click Edit g Preferences
Click the tab Audio I/O
Toward the bottom, click on Find Library
Find the folder where you placed lame_enc.dll
Click OK and OK
